Lexus LS 460

Automotive research firm announces the upcoming 2007 Lexus LS-460 will have more technology features than any other North American market vehicle for sale.
TRG, an automotive industry market research firm, today said that when the new 2007 Lexus LS-460 ships later this year it will have more technology features than any other North American market vehicle offered for sale. Lexus is not alone though as a luxury brand leading the technology charge — others mentioned by TRG in top rankings include BMW, Mercedes, Cadillac and Acura.
The 2007 Lexus LS-460, said TRG, has a number of technologies which they find particularly interesting. These include a factory-installed 30GB hard disk drive partitioned for music and navigation, three cameras for lane departure warning and park assist, touch-screen and voice activated navigation system, Bluetooth phone control, monitored telematics, live traffic reports and a 19-speaker audio system that reads compressed audio formats (i.e. MP3).
A close second in the most technology heavy cars were the 2006 BMW 7-Series and the 2007 Mercedes S-Class, which are tied for the number of features. They are followed by the Lexus LX-470. 13 vehicles in total make up the top list, with eight of the vehicles priced over $50,000, three models priced from $40,000 to $50,000, and two priced between $30,000 and $40,000. Two of the 13 vehicles are SUVs, while the rest are near-luxury or luxury sedans.
"The LS-460 includes more technology than any other passenger vehicle offered for sale in the U.S." says Phil Magney, president and principal analyst with TRG, in a statement. "Based on our criteria of 30 technology features in the areas of telematics, infotainment, and driver assist technologies, the LS-460 scores the highest of all vehicles."

Suzuki X-HEAD

When was the last time you used "Suzuki" and "awesome" in a sentence and weren't talking about a motorcycle?
Well, get ready to do it now. Behold the Suzuki X-HEAD, one of several new concept vehicles the automaker
will be showing off at next month's Tokyo Motor Show. Looking like it's ready to punch a HUMMER in the
mouth and audition for a part in Transformers 2, the mega-trick-looking X-HEAD (dig the "X" tread pattern
on the rubber) is all about flexibility (we think). If we're reading the Google-translated press release
correctly, the "X" in its name signifies the unknown -- as in unknown or unlimited number of uses.
Figure it could be everything from a camper, to a pickup, to a rescue vehicle and beyond. This, from a
company whose bread-and-butter is kei cars? A round of applause is in order for this Eastern take on our
childhood Tonka fantasies. We'll be sure to bring you more on this one from the show floor next month.

X-HEAD The X-HEAD is a cross utility vehicle offering a host of possibilities for people wanting to explore their world. Boasting a DNA borne of the legendary off-road capabilities of the Jimny and Grand Vitara and the load carrying capacity of the APV, X-HEAD epitomizes functional dependability and fun.
A key feature of X-HEAD is that it can hold various load-bed units for diverse purposes.

For example, it can hold a unit called the Camper, which provides sleeping space for two adults; a unit called the Fashion, which provides stylish urban mobility; and a unit called the Rescue, which is designed for emergency rescue operations in a wide range of extreme environments.
